After paying their dues in the local scene, the band has begun to make a name for itself in the Middle Georgia area on the heels of their self-titled EP. They’ve been packing out venues such as The Cox Capital Theater in Macon and The Masquerade in Atlanta. The Some Kids live experience is unforgettable and that leaves their audiences wanting more... Opening for acts such as: Mighty, Survival Kit, B.o.B and Waka Flocka Flame, no genre is safe from their hybrid musical fusion. These boys of bearded badassry are sure to rock the venue from the front all the way to the back.

Quiet Hollers w/ The Head live at The Hummingbird in Downtown Macon

Quiet Hollers formed in Louisville around the songwriting of singer/guitarist Shadwick Wilde, who originally formed the group with the idea of playing only one show—the CD release of his solo effort, Unforgivable Things, in 2010. The group’s debut, I Am the Morning, followed in 2013. The alt-country styled album was a limited success, spawning a cult following in the US and some international critical praise, allowing the band to continue touring on the DIY circuit, where changes in personnel and taste saw the band exploring territory beyond the genre. In 2015 the band’s self-titled sophomore album Quiet Hollers introduced them to a much broader audience, drawing praise both for the breadth of its influences and for Wilde’s lyricism. Consequence of Sound called it a “beautiful portrait… breaking the confines of roots music” with PopMatters aptly noting the band’s “strong post-hardcore influence.” The album brought the band to Europe for the first time, selling out shows there and back at home stateside. Breakout singles found their way onto TV shows, coffeehouse playlists, and a #9 debut on the FMQB college and indie charts. Quiet Hollers signed with the indie label SonaBLAST! for their third album, Amen Breaks. The album draws parallels between the modern entertainment landscape and the cultural crossover of the 1970s– another decade marred by division, political corruption, and terrorist bombs. Their shape-shifting palate makes use of orchestral strings and brass, vintage drum-machines and samples (including the Amen Break, the most sampled piece of music in history). Amen Breaks explores themes of spirituality, sexuality, and mental illness.

Finding a balance between alternative rock with pop-riffs and rock 'n' roll, our debut album, Submarine Races, brings something new to the music scene while paying tribute to the styles we know and love. Back City Woods The South. A region loaded with history to say the least. What can be said about it that hasn’t already been said? Who needs another country act with a new angle on this sordid tale? Besides, if you’ve eaten your Grandma’s peach cobbler, haven't you already had the best? A band out of Middle Georgia called Back City Woods has thought about these perplexing issues and answers with yet another question. Do you still hear the call of the westerly winds whispering through the pines at dusk while rocking in a chair on the porch sweet tea in hand, alone, with the thoughts of a life that could have been? If your answer is yes, there’s hope left for the Southern life after all. If no, spin that dusty record again for old times sake. For the future is in the past, and we’re all dead anyway. You already know everything this band has to say, but they say it anyway, and they’re saying it with soul: louder & longer. They’ve released two award winning EP's and now have a full length album: The Light. The Dark. The Dusk. So what does this album bring to the table? Fiddles, guitars, banjo, songs about heartbreak, small towns, and all that Southern stuff. Also, it’s new, and it’s alive. Like you, like me, like the South. We’re here together sharing a semblance of similar existence, and everyday is new. So why experience the tales of the South from those who are decades in the past? There comes a time when Grandma can't make peach cobbler anymore, do we all stop eating cobbler? As life moves forward, as you move forward, so does music. Back City Woods: The South, today. Pierce Edens As those who have seen him live can attest, Pierce Edens absorbed the songwriting, storytelling and musical styling of the surrounding Appalachian Mountains, where he spent his childhood. This history takes the form of old time, folk and bluegrass music as well as spoken words of storytellers from his North Carolina home; this has earned him the moniker of “Appalachicana.” Over the last ten years, Edens has been drawing on those roots and blending them with the grungy rock and roll sounds that took him in his teenage years. The result is a haunting and fiery mixture that is notoriously hard to pin down. Allmusic.com classifies Edens as both “Folk-Rock” and “psychedelic-grunge,” and No Depression writer Bill Kopp says “[He] could just as easily- and accurately- be tagged with the singer/songwriter label; He’s a gritty troubadour who takes what he needs from each style, blending and bending it to suit the needs of his songs.” Through relentless touring, independently producing 4 albums (with one on the way), one full length concert film, and sharing the stage with musical heroes such as: Jim Lauderdale, Todd Snider, Will Kimbrough, and Sturgill Simpson, Edens has garnered a dedicated following of fans across the nation. And as Fred Mills of Blurt magazine says… “Edens is the R.F.D. (Real effin’ Deal), and when he and his band have their collective back against the wall, there’s trouble in store.”

A self-described family business, *repeat repeat was founded by Jared Corder — a former punk-rock kid raised on the sounds of Bad Religion and Black Flag. The goal was simple: to make edgy, guitar-driven music that nodded to the classic sounds of Jared's California birthplace, complete with hazy harmonies and surf-inspired arrangements. The problem? The group needed a female harmony singer, and nobody seemed to fit the bill. Things changed when the band's producer, Gregory Lattimer (Albert Hammond Jr.), suggested that Jared's wife, Kristyn, sing with the band. The fit was natural. Kristyn had grown up in and around California, listening to '60s legends like the Mamas and the Papas and The Everly Brothers. She quickly completed the band, sharing vocal duties with Jared and serving as the inspiration for much of Bad Latitude — a debut album largely written by Jared during the couple's engagement, filled with songs about love, life, and the promise of new partnerships along the way. Floral Canyon (their sophomore release) stretches the band's musical envelope, adding depth, drive, and darkness to the sun-baked, surf-tinged pop music that's always been their bedrock. Produced once again by Lattimer, the album tackles modern culture ("Plugged In"), rocky relationships ("Mostly"), religious ideologies ("Speaker Destroyer"), and all points in between. Gluing everything together is the band's melodic, musical attack: equal parts percussive thunder, trembling organ, synth pads, coed harmonies, and wide-ranging guitar parts. The album's name is a sly salute to California's Laurel Canyon, whose rolling hills were home to some of America's best musicians during the '60s and '70s. The SoCal salute came in handy when *repeat repeat caught the attention of notable Silverlake-based label Dangerbird Records, who agreed to release Floral Canyon in the Fall of 2017. It proved to be a busy year as the band saw the departure of Herrin to pursue other projects, a US & Canadian tour with punk sweethearts, Beach Slang, a sold out show with Neon Trees, and a slew of major festival dates including Forecastle Festival, Firefly and SXSW. *repeat repeat’s sound is bold, bi-coastal beach pop, at once coolly current and proudly vintage. It's sugar-coated music with a raw, real, rocky center, and unmistakably *repeat repeat. The Mammoths Beginning in Austin, TX, in the heart of their middle school days, David Kapsner (lead vocals/guitar/piano), Michael Jekot (lead guitar/vocals), and Tyler Rush (bass/vocals) came together to transcend the barrier of blues-rock into funky psych-soul through their various music ventures. Bringing the audacious and wonderfully talented Tim Durand (drums/vocals) into the picture has recently solidified the band with a roaring sound and strength to complement their vibe. Dedication to their music has evolved The Mammoths from garage rock to sophisticated blues-funk, and constant experimentation has allowed each member of the group to always stay true to their roots. Jekot, self-described as playing in the “grunge-endrix” style, notes that Kapsner’s soul-vocals, Durand’s pure metal, and Tyler’s deep, groovy funk stand out in the realm of rock, drawing influence from all over to create a sound that is entirely new, yet curiously familiar. "The Mammoths are an up-and-coming Austin band to watch fueled by their fiery unapologetic live shows reminiscent of a young Led Zeppelin. In meeting with these guys at AMF on their future plans, this band is clearly driven on playing hard and using the old school work ethic of making fans one sweaty show at a time,” said Alex Vallejo (Vallejo Music Group/Austin Music Foundation).

Kevin Maines and The Volts Raised in North Florida, where gospel and soul music lay as thick as the hot, humid air, Kevin Maines brings a youthful vibrancy to the classic southern R&B/Soul legacy. Kevin’s debut album, American Hustle, received praise for its creative writing, playing, and production, as well as the strong musical maturity rarely seen in debuts. From deep and dirty Duane Allman-esque slide guitar rockers to sweet gospel-inspired falsetto singing, Kevin Maines doesn’t just play in the southern soul traditions, he consumes and then gives them back bursting with his own unique twist. From gritty to ethereal, this music speaks for itself. Seth Winters In the last two years, Seth Winters has opened for and jammed with numerous well known acts and performers in Atlanta and Athens, including Tab Benoit multiple times, Flow Tribe, Marcus King, Jeff Austin, AJ Ghent, Oz Noy, Chris Duarte, Bill Kirchen, Blueground Undergrass,The Last Waltz Ensemble, Walter Trout,The Revivalists, Andy McKee,and many others. His new full length 10 track album,Many Stories Inside me, is now complete and will be released in the fall of 2018. His band is Philip Broughton on drums and Jon Schwenke on Bass.
