Madre Padre, Brother Hawk, and Dresden
April 4, 2015 @ 10:00 pm| $5
Is simply a band of four men who have been drawn together with one common goal; to create the music they love playing while gaining a few listeners in the process. Driven from diverse backgrounds and mutual passion, Madre Padre’s sound is not one of acquired taste but a result of what happens when thick tones and raunchy rhythms find themselves alone in a room with four guys who happen to have a couple of decent ideas.
Their blend of Southern fried blues rock is firmly rooted in the earthy tricks traditionally traded for at the red clay crossroads but their live performances convey an electrified ebullience that blasts them into the stratosphere. On stage, they’re riding rockets fueled by a vicious cocktail of sweat and hellfire. An uncut, undeniable purity of purpose is palpable when the band is firing on all cylinders. Brother Hawk’s sound is the sunset that the hero rides into. It’s red hot white light. It’s honest emotion. It’s alive.
Formerly “Be Easy”, this will be the guys first time playing The Hummingbird. Although no strangers to the Macon, Middle GA music scene. The guys passion and drive for music has kept this group together through the many line up changes and even name changes.
