The band has released 2 albums to help you prepare for the experience: ‘Til The Sun Comes Up features Canadian hip hop legend Choclair and earned over $10,000 in crowdfunding presales and their self-titled debut EP was mixed and mastered by Alan Evans of Soulive. Both albums promise to have you rocking out and singing along to catchy melodies and funky grooves. But if you truly want to find out what comes after the funk, you’ll just have to come experience it for yourself. Urban Soil: Urban Soil is focused on creating the best possible original music. The combination of all out, electrified, jam band inspired musical explorations and the more Americana, acoustic flavors makes Urban Soil truly unique. Sarah's powerful voice is complex and thought provoking, while being strong and soulful at the same time. Eric and the rest of the band provide a tight, concise backdrop for her to fully explore the sonic space.

HOWL is a "is a raw, sometimes brazenly sexual rock and roll band that gets your feet moving and your palms a little sweaty. The Georgia Flood live at The Hummingbird in Downtown Macon

$5

Groove-heavy and Genre-bending, The Georgia Flood’s music has evolved over the years. Their new album, People Like Ourselves, draws on indelible melodies, clever lyrics, and an infectious energy; weaving together an EP that hits all the right notes. The Atlanta based duo, Lane Kelly and Brooks Mason, are brothers who began playing when they were seven and nine years old respectively. Hustling birthday parties and family reunions the brothers changed sounds numerous times through their teens. Drawing on their exploration of numerous genres, their songwriting channels classic guitar driving riffs with modern pop sensibilities. Self-financed, the band went into Jason Hoard’s Black Cat Studio to put together the seven songs contained within their new EP. Don’t let the EP status fool you though, the band toiled over 30+ tracks to carve out their favorites, coalescing into seven songs that journey through themes of love, good times, and tragedy. “We had a really tough time choosing just a few,” explains Brooks, The Georgia Flood’s lead guitar player and singer,.“We had so many songs that really brought the listener to amazing moments.” “Whistle King,” the records infectious first single, encompasses much of what the record is about. “On the surface it seems sort of nonsensical and fun but the song really describes how crazy our lifestyle is on the road,” explains Lane, who plays bass and sings harmonies. “Playing in an indie band is a constant state of discovery, and lyrically, “Whistle King” exemplifies much of that exhilaration and frustration.”

Pierce Edens As those who have seen him live can attest, Pierce Edens absorbed the songwriting, storytelling and musical styling of the surrounding Appalachian Mountains, where he spent his childhood. This history takes the form of old time, folk and bluegrass music as well as spoken words of storytellers from his North Carolina home; this has earned him the moniker of “Appalachicana.” Over the last ten years, Edens has been drawing on those roots and blending them with the grungy rock and roll sounds that took him in his teenage years. The result is a haunting and fiery mixture that is notoriously hard to pin down. Allmusic.com

classifies Edens as both “Folk-Rock” and “psychedelic-grunge,” and No Depression writer Bill Kopp says “[He] could just as easily- and accurately- be tagged with the singer/songwriter label; He’s a gritty troubadour who takes what he needs from each style, blending and bending it to suit the needs of his songs.” Through relentless touring, independently producing 4 albums (with one on the way), one full length concert film, and sharing the stage with musical heroes such as: Jim Lauderdale, Todd Snider, Will Kimbrough, and Sturgill Simpson, Edens has garnered a dedicated following of fans across the nation. And as Fred Mills of Blurt magazine says… “Edens is the R.F.D. (Real effin’ Deal), and when he and his band have their collective back against the wall, there’s trouble in store.
