Albatross and The Vinyl Suns live at The Hummingbird in Downtown Macon
Albatross: Rising from a town so rich with musical bliss, Athens musical group “Albatross” is making people dance all over the Athens/Atlanta area, with their driven blues/funky grooves and diverse line-up, consisting of founding members of Albatross, Dustin and Matt Urich. The brothers each add their own twist to the music with a wide spectrum of heavy blues/jazz/guitar influences and soulful vocals. The band has been richly rewarded with the dynamic and pulsating rhythm section comprised of Austin Young on Keys/Sax and Scott Tracy on Drums. Austin and Scott, both hailing from bands of their own,(respectively) are well seasoned musicians, delivering a driving beat that demands MOVEMENT. These 4 artist combined lay down a diverse and dynamic flow that appeals to almost any demographic. Albatross, fresh from a period of diligent practice, now continues to entreat the souls of the Athens and Atlanta area with a drive that cannot be held in place!!! Vinyl Suns: The Vinyl Suns burst out of Athens, Georgia in August of 2015 like a phoenix rising from the ashes. After jamming together and enjoying themselves a little too much, it was eventually inevitable to form a band. Blues, rock, and funk have always been the roots for the Vinyl Suns, but there really is no telling what they might do next. A better way to describe them would be... unconfined. You might hear a bit of americana in their sound at one moment and then be surprised by a modern blues riff tearing through the speakers the next. The name really says it all about these four lads, in the end. They will all tell you that naming the band was a tedious task to say the least, but in the end they all agreed on one thing: where they come from. The real music, the soul music, the "four chords and the truth" was born before the digital era. The boys consider their love for music was born in the time of vinyl. A time when change was spontaneous and rebellion was the norm. They owe it all to the Beatles, B.B. king, Zeppelin, the Allman Brothers, James Brown, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Queen; you name it. They are the suns of vinyl, hence they are The Vinyl Suns.

GROOVE FETISH combines driving rhythms, seductive melodies, and incredible solos to create their sound. Top that off with soulful lead vocals and powerful harmonies, and you’ll have the band Groove Fetish. GROOVE FETISH is a six piece rock n roll band from Wilmington, NC, comprised of Clay Crotts (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Ethan Schilf (bass), Jason Woolwine (piano/organ), Andrew Massey (drums), and Andy Blair (lead guitar/vocals). They have been traveling and performing relentlessly for the last two years winning over audiences. This year they’ll be releasing their first full length studio album, while continuing to build a fan base through live performances. So keep your eyes open and your dancing shoes on… GROOVE FETISH will be coming to play a festival or music venue near you soon!!!
Bella’s Bartok live at The Hummingbird in Downtown Macon
To understand Bella’s Bartok, imagine what you would get if Salvador Dali and Toulouse Lautrec were fronting the Moulin Rouge's house band, and you have the exuberant spectacle that is Bella's Bartok. Described as "about as much fun as you can have with your pants on" (Dan Wolovick, Two Way Monologues), this 6-piece powerhouse melds Bohemian Klezmer Punk with pop sensibilities into an eminently danceable party. The diversity of musicians that make up Bella's Bartok, combined with their boundless energy on stage, has been known to break a dancefloor, or two (or three, but who's counting?). Their sound moves way beyond labels, pushing the envelope towards the darker side of Eastern European music, referencing vaudeville and 20th century eclecticism.

Nestled between the hills that brought you the Allman Brothers, Otis Redding, and Little Richard (among others), Swain and the Highway Souls (SATHS) is bringing a fresh sound to middle Georgia that is steeped in the area's musical traditions. All The Locals: 'It's been said the newest members of Atlanta's booming music scene have a sound that's a clear "amalgamation of blues, neo-soul, and rock-and-roll". Giving Pink Floyd and Maxwel a run for their money, All The Locals are no strangers to the industry. Atlanta-based producer, John Briglevich (who worked with the band on their newest set of rhythmically seductive songs), says, "...[their music is] hard to describe and that's why I dig it. I'm scrambling to try and make this [EP] sound as good as they do live." New EP and Tour out 2017 under new mgmt with Bread n' Circuses/ Sony Music In Business: Founded in 2012 in funky New Orleans, Louisiana, the Business is an organization of like-minded individuals dedicated to the creation and distribution of one product, and one product only: funk music. Although our mission is a simple one, we are steadfast in our purpose, bringing only the highest quality funk to our fans—aka consumers of the funk. Of course, high quality funk requires high quality ingredients, including, but not limited to: big fat grooves, tasty guitar licks, piping hot saxophones, spine-tingling vocals, individual musicianship, group dynamics, a sense of humor, and lots of love. Simply put, our original music is crafted from only “the finest shyeeeit.” Listening to the Business’ music can best be described as taking a musical journey—one with twists and turns, from craggy peaks to blissful meadows (as well as the occasional suspension bridge over rivers of molten lava). Our often irreverent lyrics cover topics both commonplace and fantastical, taking the listener from a visit with a sidewalk vendor selling frozen treats, to the epic adventures of a secret crime-fighting organization (Spoiler alert: that’s us.). And now the funky fruits of our labor are starting to ripen. Our very first album of all original music, Cop Show, was released in February 2016, and we've spent every moment since performing locally and touring nationally to spread our funky seed. But this is just the beginning. We won’t rest until our mission is complete. And the funk just keeps getting stronger.
