Emma’s Lounge live at The Hummingbird

$5

On its surface, Emma’s Lounge is a band from Asheville, NC. But it’s more than that.

An Emma's Lounge show is a place where you can show up as you are, sink into and embrace what you’re facing through dancing out all of the heebie jeebies to releasing some tears of angst or joy, to singing at the top of your lungs, to reaching over and holding your neighbor’s hand just to feel the connection. Emma's Lounge is a community where the love flows for music and each other. Emma's Lounge has the unique ability to morph from rootsy folk to rollicking rock and powerful soul, to head-turning electronic-tinged psychedelic funkiness. Their strange range of creative influence is united by the band's raw energy and audience inclusiveness. And word is spreading from the band's Asheville, NC hometown across the Southeast and East Coast. Emma's Lounge have performed at SweetWater 420 Fest, Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival, The BIG What?, Front Porch Fest, French Broad River Festival, Mustang Spring Jam, Soulshine, Meeting of the Minds, Floyd Yoga Jam, and many more. Seven Year Witch with Truett live at The Hummingbird

$5

The backwoods of South Carolina isn’t one’s first thought when it comes to a modern shock to the heart of rock n’ roll. Straight out of left field with an electrifying hybrid of hard rock, blues-punk, and 70’s garage rock, Seven Year Witch emerges with enough stage energy to feed a generation starved of real rock n’ roll. After years of performing under a different name, the group unveiled the Seven Year Witch title in 2018. The band’s reception exploded regionally, as they began to share the stage with the likes of Jackyl, Buckcherry, P.O.D, Tom Keifer’s Cinderella, Pop Evil, and Crobot. Seven Year Witch is first recognized by vocalist Aaron Langford. His unrivaled stage presence and a deafening, classically trained voice respectfully nod to the likes of Chris Cornell. Brothers Seth and Spencer Burden, bound by blood, drive the rhythm section of the band in a thunderous Zeppelin-meets-Sabbath inspired fashion. Recruited in 2019, guitarist Gage Worley provides the band with a blistering wall of sound, steeped in the heritage of a family of revered musicians. The group is a natural fit; a young and hungry group of scoundrels, hell bent on cementing their name in the book of all American rock n’ roll. With no big city fluff and proudly independent, Seven Year Witch continues to develop a cult-like following. The band frequents an east coast and Midwest circuit, all the way from Texas to Canada and anywhere in between. The group has been featured in South Carolina’s most notable festivals (Fall For Greenville, Spittoono, Melting Pot Music Fest) and countless biker rallies and events. Having battled poverty and the scrutiny of rock n’ roll in the bible belt, Seven Year Witch has cut their teeth and made their own luck.
